The pitchfest will take place from 4-5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016. Here, interested attendees will have the opportunity to meet with agent(s) or editor(s) to pitch their work. When registering for the ShowMe Writers Masterclass, there will be a box that you will need to select in order to receive further information on signing up for a pitch session. We will send out the sign up document at a future date, which will include the agent/editor pitch meeting times. Each meeting will be capped at 5 minutes, allotting for up to 12 meeting spaces for each agent and editor.

Note: Depending on the agent or editor’s schedule, there may also be additional time slots available throughout the day on Sunday.

How do I sign up to meet with the agents or editors?

On the registration page, there is a box you will need to select to receive further information on signing up for a pitch session with an agent or editor of your choice. We will send out the sign-up doc at a future date that will have time slots to choose from between 4-5pm on Sunday, Nov. 6th. Depending on the agent/editor’s schedule, there may also be additional time slots throughout the day on Sunday, Nov. 6th to sign up for.

What do I need to bring to each pitch?

We recommend that a few copies of each script would be fine.

Does my novel/script need to be completed?

Yes, we recommend you pitch only completed work to the participating agents and editors. Please reference the agent and editors’ bios for complete submission requirements.

Can I pitch different projects to different representatives?

Yes. If you have a thriller and have the opportunity to pitch it to an agent or editor looking for a thriller by all means go for it. Then pitch your fantasy novel to a different agent looking for that.

What should I wear?

Please dress comfortably as Sunday will be a long day starting at 9am.
